Jonathan B. Lockwood is the Controller at Wayfinder Real Estate, where he oversees the company’s financial operations, accounting practices, and internal reporting. Jonathan supports the organization’s overall financial health by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and transparency in all fiscal processes. Jonathan draws on years of experience overseeing complex financial structures, implementing internal controls, and supporting executive decision-making in fast-paced environments. His focus at Wayfinder is to build scalable financial infrastructure, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and support strategic growth through data-informed insights.

Journey to Wayfinder

Jonathan was born and raised in Mobile, AL. He attended the University of South Alabama’s Mitchell College of Business, attaining his degree in Accounting. Before moving to Austin in 2023, Jonathan lived in New Orleans, LA for 10 years. While in New Orleans, he worked as a controller for a family run consulting and financial brokerage firm managing all aspects of their accounting department. Upon moving to Austin, he worked for a research and development company that produced materials and products for the United States military.

About Jonathan

Jonathan and his wife chose to move to Austin to be a part of a thriving community where individuals are growing professionally and choosing to partake in a healthy lifestyle. Jonathan loves spending time outdoors on the Austin trails or roads. He has been an avid runner for over 25 years. When he’s not running, he can be found with a camera in hand making photos. While living in New Orleans, he developed a thoughtful practice of slowing down and documenting life through photography.
